SICK LEAVE

All faculty earn sick leave based upon their teaching load.  

• Full time faculty working a 1.0 load earn 5 days each semester.  

• Associate faculty earn a percentage of 5 days, based upon their load.

IF the faculty member is part of the defined benefit retirement system at CAL STRS, any unused sick leave will be added on to their service credit at retirement. 175 unused sick days equals one year of service credit.
